Taraxacum euryphyllum (Dahlst.) Christ, occurs on the West Frisian Island of Schiermonnikoog in a single area of c. 200 m², situated in a moist practically fresh duneslack. The plants grow on rather open places in a vegetation with much Schoenus nigricans. This vegetation can be described as a local Schoenetum variant, related to the association Junco baltici-Schoenetum nigricantis with indications of a progressing succession.
