The authors mention the occurrence of two grasses, Bromus carinatus Hook, et Arn. (fig. 1) and Puccinellia distans (L.) Parl. (fig. 2) in the central part of the Netherlands. The first is a naturalised adventitious plant, the other a species of saline habitats and is spreading through this part of our country following the heavy salting of roads during winter time.
