Rubus baronicus is described as a new species. Information is given on distribution, ecology and differences with related species. The subspecies picearum Beek of R. glandulosus Bellardi is raised to the rank of species and named R. picearum (Beek) Beek. R. iuvenis is described as a new species to replace the illegitimate R. viridis Kalt.
