The author mentions Vulpia ciliata subsp. ambigua as a new species for the Netherlands. Only one adventitious record was known. In 1984 the species was found in two localities in the coastal area, where the species seems to be natural. The appearance of this species in the Netherlands might be caused by a natural northwards extension of its area.
