Lilium bulbiferum subsp. croceum has been refound both in Northern Germany and in the Netherlands. The German find is described in more detail, because it concerns a hitherto unknown habitat, viz. a former sand dune area in the valley of the river Ems. In the Netherlands the plant was found again in an old locality, which in the past belonged to the so-called eternal rye-fields on dry, sandy soils.
