Vruchtzetting en zaadproductie van Krabbescheer (Stratiotes aloides L.) in Nederland

In 48 Dutch Stratiotes populations the fruit and seed production was examined, in 35 of which actually fruits were found. Ripe seeds were lacking, however, in 22 of the 35 fruiting populations. Only in one region 13 of the 19 populations investigated bore ripe seeds. Readers are requested to send observations on the exact time of flowering, the proportion of male and female flowers, the number of fruits and the number of (ripe) seeds.
