Potamogeton x lintonii (= P. crispus x P. mucronatus) was found in a small pond in a garden in the Southeastern part of the province of Friesland. Observations of the population during several years confirmed its hybrid nature. Only abortive fruits were formed, and its features are intermediate between P. crispus and P. mucronatus.
