Rubus bovinus, a new species of Rubus L., series Mucronati Weber, distributed in the Netherlands and Germany, Rubus bovinus is described. Problems regarding the identity of Rubus longior Beek and R. pyramidatus P.J. Müller (= R. hanovrensis Sudre) are clarified. Lectotypes of R. pyramidatus Müller and R. hanovrensis Sudre are designated here.
