Platte bies (Scirpus cariciformis Vest) in Twente teruggevonden

In 1993 Scirpus cariciformis, which is a rare and endangered species in the Netherlands, was rediscovered in the eastern part of the province of Overijssel. It grows in a Lolio-Potentillion-vegetation on a sandy bank of a recently dug lake. In winter the water level is situated 5-10 cm above and in summer just below the soil surface.
