The discovery of Ludwigia uruguayensis in a park-pond in Dalfsen (prov. of Overijssel) was the reason to do some research after the source of this record. It appeared that it is grown in some nurseries, but the trade volume did not become clear. It is likely that the species can stand Dutch winters. It must be considered as a casual escape.
