In 1999 Mibora minima was found on one of the Friesian Isles: its most northern locality thusfar, in a therophyte-rich pioneer grassland, on calcareous sand. In Bretagne and Normandy, M. minima is regularly found in more or less similar grasslands. In Central Europe, however, M. minima is confined to sites strongly influenced by men, on siliceous sand.
