Gouden ribzaad (Chaerophyllum aureum L.); onopgemerkt ingeburgerd

In 2005 is Gouden ribzaad (Chaerophyllum aureum) op drie verschillende locaties (in vier km-hokken) binnen Nederland vastgesteld. Gouden ribzaad is op twee plaatsen waarschijnlijk al 20 jaar aanwezig. Door de gelijkenis met Fluitenkruid (Anthriscus sylvestris), Knolribzaad (C. bulbosum) en Dolle kervel (C. temulum) en het feit dat de soort tot voor kort niet in Nederlandse determinatiewerken werd genoemd, is Gouden ribzaad niet eerder opgemerkt. Bij het nalopen van de collectie van het Nationaal Herbarium Nederland in Leiden op ‘verborgen’ exemplaren van C. aureum werd geen oud materiaal van deze soort aangetroffen, maar wel een exemplaar van C. hirsutum. In 2005, Golden Chervil (Chaerophyllum aureum) was recorded at three sites (in four km-squares) in the Netherlands. At two locations, Golden Chervil has probably been present for as long as 20 years. The occurence of the species was overlooked due to its resemblance with Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris), Tuberous-rooted Chervil (C. bulbosum) and Rough Chervil (C. temulum) and the fact that, until recently, it was not mentioned in the Dutch Floras. A quest for ‘hidden’ specimens of C. aureum in the collections of the Nationaal Herbarium Nederland at Leiden was unsuccesful for this species, but revealed a specimen of C. hirsutum.
