Chromosome Numbers in Leguminous Plants

During the last few years a number of chromosome counts have been made in the family of the some of which are not Leguminosae, yet reported in literature, whereas others deviate from what has been stated earlier. Taking into account that a more exhaustive investigation cannot be tackled with in the near future, or is impossible owing to the lack of more material from the genus, there seems to be a justification to publish these counts at present without further comment.
