Book Review

This book was first published in 1963. A second printing was necessary in 1964. In 1970 the book was almost completely rewritten and many new illustrations have been added. The different types of symptoms, caused by viruses in plants, are described extensively. A Spanish list has been added to the index of names of symptoms. English terms can now be compared with the similar terms in five other languages: Dutch, German, French, Italian and Spanish. This index has proved to be extremely useful. The addition of a subject index, absent in the first edition, has made the book even more usable.
