Theridion uhligi Martin, 1974 (Araneae: Theridiidae), a rare Theridiid from heathlands, is now known from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Its habitat in the Netherlands consists of patchy vegetation of old Calluna vulgaris interspersed with lichens. The spider is not found in C. vulgaris where an undergrowth with grass fills up potential web sites. The female is diagnosed and illustrated.
