In recent years a population of Arctosa cinerea (Fabricius) was discovered in the nature development area ‘Millingerwaard’ on the southern bank of the river Rhine and just east of Nijmegen. At the same site Pardosa agricola occurs with one of the best known populations of this species in the Netherlands. The abundancy of the latter species is probably the result of the change in management of this former agricultural area, now a nature development reserve. It remains unknown whether Arctosa cinerea occurred there before the change in management or not.
