Halorates reprobus (O. P.-Cambridge, 1879) has been found in the Netherlands for the first time. The distribution in Europe is discussed. The occurrence in the Netherlands fills in the gap along the coast of the North Sea, where Denmark now forms the last hiatus. The old record from Bulgaria is seriously doubted.
