A female Dolomedes plantarius (Clerck, 1757) with egg cocoon has been found in a ditch in a peat-bog area in the Province of Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands, in august 2002. The site is situated near the “Moerputten”, a marshy nature reserve west of ’s-Hertogenbosch. Further investigations (August 2003) yielded no more mature spiders or egg cocoons, but only a handful of juvenile spiders at different stages of maturity.
