A single male specimen of Icius subinermis Simon, 1937 was found inside a house in the city of Enschede in the province of Overijssel. The species is known from the western Mediterranean Region and locally from Central France, Switzerland and Germany where it has been found in houses or hothouses. There is no indication of recent import from the Mediterranean Region by the owner of the house in Enschede but nevertheless it is assumed that the species is not (yet) part of our indigenous fauna.
