The availability on the internet of data on the distribution of spiders in the Netherlands is outlined. The catalogue and checklist of the spiders in the Netherlands are regularly updated on the website of the European Invertebrate Survey – Nederland (http://www.eis-nederland.nl/spinnen), while the latest updated version of the spiders of Fauna Europaea is placed on the website of the European Society of Arachnology (http://www.european-arachnology.org/reports/fauna.shtml). Earlier issues of SPINED are now also available on the internet (http://www.eis-nederland.nl/spined).
