The small cancellariid gastropod, Brocchinia gerdae n. sp., is described from the lower Twistringen Beds (Miocene, ‘Reinbekian’, Late Langhian), as exposed in three temporary clay pits in NW Germany (Nordlohne, Twistringen and Woltrup, all in Lower Saxony).
