On 02-08-1988 we found on the Maasvlakte in Zuid-Holland a dead Common Gull (Larus canus). As a pullus the bird was banded on Texel in the Netherlands on 20-06-1965 and so over 23 years old. Traffic caused its death. This is the oldest Common Gull banded and found in the Netherlands sofar.
