In the autumns and winters of 1999-2000, 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 the presence of Peregrine Falcons was investigated in the north-western part of Friesland (The Netherlands), mainly a meadow area, called the Greidhoeke. Most of the time was spent on following the presence on high tension pylons. An average of 30 birds was seen on every count. This is a lot more than the already known numbers Peregrines at the Lauwersmeer, Friesland Buitendijks (coastal zones) and around the wetlands.
