In central Limburg, a juvenile Peregrine was found on the ground on 14 July 1999, unable to fly. The bird was ringed in 1999 as one of four nestlings from a nestbox on an industrial site in southern Limburg. X-rays showed that the bird was incapacitated by leadshot; its revalidation will take at least three months.
