Verdraagzaamheid onder broedende roofvogels en uilen

In 2000, in the province of Friesland near Roodhuis, an isolated farmyard with some solitary trees and hedgerows provided nesting sites for a Common Buzzard Buteo buteo (nest newly built, deserted somewhat later). Long-eared Owl Asia otus (took over Buzzard nest, raising 3 fledglings). Kestrel Falco tinnunculus (nestbox 6 m away from Buzzard nest, raising 5 fledglings) and Hobby Falco subbuteo (in crow’s Corvus corone nest, in same tree as nestbox, raising 3 nestlings).
