In the low-lying parts of the western Netherlands, Peregrine Falcons normally use electricty pylons, fences and bare ground as sitting posts. In October and November 2006 a juvenile female was recorded using a dead tree, both before and after a successful hunt. The tree provided a full view of the environment.
