On 27 August 2008, a first-year Hobby was captured in the western Netherlands, showing interrupted moult. Of the head, breast (especially upper part), back, trousers and flanks about half of the feathers had been freshly moulted. Of the flight feathers, primaries 4 and 5 (including their primary coverts), secondaries 6 and 7 (including a median covert) and rectrices 5 and 6 had been replaced. None of the feathers was in active moult.
