A male Marsh Harrier was seen quartering a grassland near Eemnes, central Netherlands, on 16 April 2012. A full-grown Hare anticipated the harrier’s quartering flight, but couldn’t prevent the latter from catching her young, despite her antics to chase the harrier away. The harrier transported the young hare in its left foot, and was observed feeding whilst the Hare watched from a short distance.
