In the summer of 2012, a Kestrel nest with three chicks about to fledge was discovered in a castle near Clermont-de-Beauregard (Dordogne, France: 44°57’N, 0°39’O). The chicks fledged on 9 August 2012. A small collection of pellets (N=21, mean size 25.9x14.9 mm, mean weight 1.01 g) contained a variety of mice and voles (mostly Microtus arvalis), two lizards and six passerines of at least two species (Table 1).
