Het gebruik van biometrische gegevens voor de bepaling van het geslacht van Futen (Podiceps cristatus)

Discriminant functions are presented (table 1.) which predict the sex of Great Crested Grebes from one to three biometric measurements; total length (L), wing length (V) and culmen length (S). The sample of grebes (totalling 730 individuals) from which the formulas were derived, consisted of fishing casualties from the Ijsselmeer, the Netherlands.
