This report deals with the results of the beached bird survey 1983 in the Netherlands (4.1) and Belgium (4.2). The data are presented in 4 tables and a figure. At the coast of the Netherlands, the survey held 446 kilometres; at the Belgian coast 44.5 km. was surveyed. In Holland there were very large numbers of Razorbill Alca torda, Guillemot Uria aalge and Kittiwake Rissa tridactyla found, mainly oiled. In Belgium only small numbers were detected.
