This is a reprint of a manuscript, of which one copy was distributed in (probably) 1944. It describes a successful breeding case of a Montagu’s Harrier on heatherland near Anloo (in the province of Drenthe) in 1938. Thirty photographs and one frontispiece cover the life cycle of this nest, in which 7 eggs were laid, 5 eggs hatched (between 18-23 May) and one young died (on 26 May).
