Two Ospreys stayed at a fresh water lake in northern Drenthe in spring 1978. One of these birds was observed uninterruptedly for an hour, during which the bird attempted to catch a fish twice, each time without success. It was harassed by gulls, Carrion Crows and Oystercatchers.
