Mid-June 1993, a recently killed (road) Grey Partridge was found near Assen. In the crop and stomach remains of (mostly) Slellaria media and Poa annua were identified, with some Cerastium fontanum, probably C. semidecandrum and a few Chenopodium album and Polygonum spec. A single beetle was identified as belonging to Curculionidae. All together, the crop contained 549 very small stones with a total weight of 2.863 g (Table 1).
