On 29 October 1995, during fine, calm weather, two pairs of Great Crested Grebes were seen in display on the Leekstermeer in northern Drenthe. The display included head-shaking, habitpreening, parallel-swimming and partial discovery-ceremony (but not cat-display). This behaviour lasted for 5 min.
