On 7 July 1998, a begging Cuckoo fledgling was fed by Yellow Wagtails in the peat district of the province of Drenthe. This is the first record of Yellow Wagtails as host of Cuckoo in Drenthe. During a survey in the peat district in 1982-85, none of 29 nests of Yellow Wagtails were parasitized by Cuckoos.
