In 1998 two successive broods of -presumably the same- Bam Swallow pair produced albinistic young. From the first brood at least two albinos fledged. In the second brood two albinos were accompanied by two normal young of which one died before fledging. All albinos fledged and were seen foraging for some weeks above a nearby meadow. At the same site, albinos were also observed in 1997, but not in 1999.
