First breeding case occurred in 1960. From that on numbers remained low until 1980 (Fig. 1,2). Only after 2000 numbers reached a maximum of around 100 pairs. Distribution in the Province rapidly changed during 1990-2009 (Fig. 3), well reflecting the activities of human beings, altering from restoration projects in heaths and moors during the eighties and nineties and creating “new nature” when finished with the existing nature (Fig. 4).
