. In June 2010-11 six respectively nine pairs of Common Terns were found breeding (eggs and chicks) in the layer of gravel at flat roofs in the industrial area of Meppel in the Southwest of Drenthe. Breeding birds behave aggressive and attacks potential predators as Carrion Crows, gulls and Grey Herons, as well as people.
