During my investigations on the Flora of the Dutch W. I. Islands St. Eustatius, Saba and St. Martin in 1906 ■) I paid a short visit to the Island of Anguilla; I arrived in the evening of Sept. 6th 1906 and made some short trips on Sept. 6th and 7th in order to get acquainted with the Flora of this small Island, that, as far as I found was visited only by three botanists, L. C. M. Richard 1786, Sir Daniel Morris 1891 and W. Elliot 1892. (I. Urban Symbolae Antillanae III p. 162). Besides a very small collection made by W. Elliot and anew species of Thrinax collected by Sir Daniel Morris, there exists no collection of Anguillaplants, and during my studies on the Flora of the Antilles I did not meet with any dried specimen, nor did I see Anguilla mentioned in I. Urban, Flora Portoricensis.
