In conclusion to a series of extensive reports on seabirds and coastal species, observed in 1978-82 at Meetpost Noordwijk (a platform 9 km west of Noordwijk, Zuid-Holland; Camphuysen et al. 1982), a review is given of all non-seabirds and marine mammals observed (table 1 and figure 1). Most important passerine families have been recorded, many of which (almost) exclusively resting on the platform after nocturnal migration (e.g. flycatchers, warblers, goldcrests etcetera). Most of the passerines actually migrating were recorded in autumn (larks, pipits, thrushes. Starlings and finches). Remarkably, most swallows and martins were seen in spring. The only birds which seem to be poorly represented are corvids, which is tentatively attributed to less vulnerability to drift by easterlies.
