Two autumn boat trips (24 September 1984 and 10 October 1988) between Algeciras (southern Spain) and Ceuta (Spanish territory on the Moroccan coast) are briefly described. During the first tens of both Balearic and Cory’s Shearwater were seen as well as six Pomarine and three Arctic Skuas, six Gannets and a Storm Petrel. The second trip showed guite a lot more Gannets (now mainly adults), in the morning rather more Cory’s than Balearic Shearwaters and in the afternoon at least 400 Balearics moving towards the harbour of Gibraltar. Cetaceans were mostly seen during the September trip: hundreds of both Common Dolphin and Bottle-nosed Dolphin, eight Killer Whales and one pod of some dozens of unidentified dolphins (possibly White-beaked). On the October trip only some 100 Common Dolphins were seen.
