On 7 December 1990, a herd of some 25 White-beaked Dolphins Lagenorhynchus albirostris was seen and photographed at the mouth of the Westerschelde estuary in Zeeland, the Netherlands. The cetaceans were swimming quietly and appeared to shuffle the bottom repeatedly. A further report, of a large black and while whale on the same day at the same time, could not be confirmed.
