During a seawatch on 24 Oct 1992, a Soft-plumaged Petrel was observed by two independent groups of seawatchers. The lack of a breast-band suggests one of the North-Atlantic (sub-)species, with Pterodroma (mollis) feae being most likely. This is the first record for continental Europe, but there is a remarkable series of records since 1989 around the British Isles.
