A description is given of a recreative birding trip offshore to the Frisian Front north of Texel (The Netherlands; figure 1.). Most seabirds were seen along the coast and at the Frisian Front itself, the latter being the only locality where Guillemots (adults accompanying chicks) were present, as well as higher densities of Fulmars and Great Skuas. After chumming, some 385 birds, mainly Larus -gulls and Fulmars, were attracted to the ship. With the estimated total density of all these species together before chumming (less than one bird/km2) it is estimated that birds were attracted from a surface of at least 375 km2. No rarities were observed.
