An account of butterfly species observed by an amateur in the Aosta valley in the Italian Alps. This region is known for its abundance of different species. Particular attention is paid to the ‘blues’ and their identification. An interesting observation was that of Agrodiaetus humedasae, a species rarely seen outside the region.
