Glasvleugelpijlstaart in en om Petten

It appears that a population of the day-flying moth Hemaris fuciformis has settled In the surroundings of Petten (province North Holland). Observations since 1990 showed there are two generations a year, one in spring and a second in summer. A brief description is given of the feeding and flight behaviour of the species.
