An overview Is given of observations of some Interesting butterfly species in Flanders and the Netherlands during 1994. These Include Colius croceus and Theda betulae which are both increasing in number. There were many reports of Cupido minimus and Aricia agestis, and also some surprising observations of butterflies like Brintesia circe, Apatura iris and Apatura ilia.
