In 1997, the Dutch Butterfly Conservation together with two other nature organisations is starting a project in which special attention is given to dayflying moths. A lot of information on the ecology of these insects still needs to be collected for better nature management planning. To avoid all moths being regarded as drab and grey creatures by the general public, eight colourful and striking species have been selected. All interested persons are requested to send in their observations of these moths and information on numbers, distribution and habitat.
