An easy method of studying moths is to switch on the kitchen light and then just wait for the moths to fly and settle on the window. In this way the author caught and identified 80 different species, after which the moths were released. A brief description of some attractive species is given, including two which appealed to the author most, Alucita hexadactyla and Thyatira batis.
